Perhaps we should change our name to LogitechHub. Fresh off their promising first quarter sales numbers, Logitech CEO Jerry Quindlen had the following to say during this mornings teleconference: “I think the real opportunity for gaming for us going forward is going to be continuing to be around PC for sure and frankly I think the emerging gaming opportunity with Google TV. We think there will be a lot of interest to Flash-based games. There will be a lot of opportunity for us with peripherals around that.” Rumors have been circulating recently that Google is working on a new games project with FarmVille maker Zynga at its core. The immense popularity of Flash-based games would make gaming on Google TV a logical ambition, so there is certainly a lot of weight behind these rumors. If Google Games will in fact come to pass, Google TV will be the most obvious launching platform.
