On Monday we told you that Vizio had released some information about their foray into Google TV with their Blue-ray player and Via Plus HDTV line. We are now happy to tell you that Vizio has issued a press release formally announcing some additional details about the devices, including the model number and screen size of the two TVs. From the release:
The XVT3D476SP and XVT3D556SP are part of the new VIZIO VIA Plus ecosystem that combines the convenience of entertainment on demand with a consistent and seamless experience across all devices in the ecosystem, including the VIZIO Phone and VIZIO Tablet. VIZIO Internet Apps™ (VIA) Plus TVs, which will incorporate the Google TV platform, feature a sophisticated and intuitive user interface that allows users to access their favorite apps as well as search and browse the web using a premium Bluetooth QWERTY universal remote with touchpad and built-in dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi.
The 476SP is a 47-inch model, and the 556SP is a 55-inch model. We don’t have any info about pricing or a release date (or whether or not it will be shipping with the Android Market and Vizio’s new custom Android skin), but we will be getting some hands on time at Vizio’s private CES showroom this Thursday, so stay tuned for some exclusive photos and information. Continue after the break for the full press release.
