It’s been nearly two months since the release of Google TV, and we are now finally seeing its first major software update. We’ve got a few things to go over, so let’s get started, shall we? First on the list is the update to the Netflix app we told you about a couple weeks ago. The update adds some much needed functionality to the app, including the ability to browse, search, and actually select and watch a movie right from the app.

Next up is an update to one of my favorite features of Google TV, which is the “dual view” or picture in picture mode. Now, users have the ability to adjust the size and location of the window, which is a feature I also thought was initially lacking. As you can see from the image above, you can now put it in the left hand corner if you so desire, and make it bigger if the standard size is too small for you.

Ok, so we’re not ACTUALLY there. Nevertheless, we’re going to bring you all the important details as they happen. Check back at 3 p.m. EDT, 12 p.m. PDT for our coverage of Logitech’s official launching of the Logitech Revue!
