If controlling your Google TV device via its peripheral controller or your mobile device wasn’t enough for you, now you can do it from your web browser with Chromemote. As the name suggests, it’s a Chrome applicate that gives you both the functionality and the look and feel of the Google TV mobile app.
Installing and using Chromemote is quick and easy. Simply visit the Web Store page from your Chrome browser and install the application. An icon will appear in the top-right portion of your browser which launches the Chromemote application. It will scan for your device(s), and clicking on that device will bring up a pairing code on the TV connected to that device. Simply enter the code to pair your device with Chromemote and you’re on your way.
The interface is very similar to the Android app, but if you’ve never used it before you will probably find it very easy to use. This application works great if you’re already on your computer while using Google TV, or could come in very handy if you don’t have access to your peripheral remote or mobile application.
