Earlier today we spent some time at Vizio’s private CES showroom for some exclusive time with their new Vizio Via Plus with Google TV. They had both the 55″ and 47″ models on display, and let me tell you, these are some nice TVs. Unfortunately the Blue-ray players were not on display, and we were informed they are still in the development phase.
I was able to confirm that the press image which features apps that don’t ship with Google TV is in fact a mockup. While the Vizio Google TV features their custom Android skin, the TV will be shipping with the default Google TV apps we have currently. These TV’s are also glasses 3D ready, with a 460 hz refresh rate
Continue after the break to check out some of the shots, and stay tuned for a brief video demonstration as well.
