A lot of people were waiting to hear what The New York Time’s David Pogue had to say about Google TV, and it isn’t pretty. In a rather scathing review, Pogue dismissed the platform as too complicated, filled with inconsistencies, and is too expensive. The following quote pretty much sums up his feelings about the platform:
This much is clear: Google TV may be interesting to technophiles, but it’s not for average people. On the great timeline of television history, Google TV takes an enormous step in the wrong direction: toward complexity.
If you’ve read our review of the Google TV Platform you’ll see that we also expressed rather negative viewpoints at times. However, I feel that Pogue has failed to see the potential of Google TV, which will begin to fully reveal itself with the addition of the Android Market and updates to the Android OS.
