This past Saturday (Oct. 9), I was fortunate enough to be in attendance for the Logitech LA Loft Revue kick off party, hosted by Rob Blasko. The event drew a diverse crowd of people from the tech and entertainment industries, as well as people who were simply excited to check out the Revue.

I must hand it to Logitech – the loft is simply stunning. It is open, inviting, and I honestly couldn’t imagine a better setting for showing off the Revue. Speaking of the Revue, the loft had two on hand for demo purposes, and there was plenty of interest amongst those in attendance.

I wasted no time in finally sitting down with the Revue (my first impressions will come in a later post), and was soon joined by several bystanders who were interested in learning more about Google TV and about how the Revue works.

I also got the chance to play around with the Vid HD video calling software, and had a brief video chat session with Praneet Kailey in New York, and Nixie Pixel in San Fransisco. Unfortunately, network issues cut my chat session with Nixie rather short, but it was certainly enjoyable to try out the software.

For the most part, people were excited to try out the Revue for themselves, and many of the people I spoke to thought Google TV was headed in the right direction.

A Logitech PR representative was in attendance, and informed me that they would have demo units in stock shortly and that one was headed our way, so stay tuned for a complete review of the Logitech Revue in the coming weeks.
